About Us

As founders, Natasha and I have many years of experience successfully navigating the British Educational System both ourselves and for our children. We will share that knowledge and experience with you, helping you and make the best educational choices ensuring your child’s school years in the UK happy and memorable. We accept a limited number of children every year, to enable us to concentrate on your child’s individual needs whatever they are

Our adopted schools are never more then 2 hours away from our office in the historical market town of Rugby. We are able to visit our students on a regular basis, building a close relationship with your child. Over the years we have forged solid links with the academic community, with their support we will help your child to choose options for the academic year so they can fully benefit from all the additional tuition provided by the school.

To ensure that St James’s are able to be at the forefront of educational services we are proud to be welcoming Peter Kirk to join the board. Peter’s prior experience as a Prep school Headmaster and current Chairman of the ISEB ensures that St James’s clients will only ever receive the highest quality advice

NATASHA

Having been born and raised in the Soviet Union as part of a military family, my family experienced relocating regularly and having to resettle every 1-3 years. Therefore, I understand how hard it can be to make the transition from one school to another, and more importantly the challenges that moving to a new country can bring.

I completed my studies at the Military University in Moscow and graduated with a Law and French language degree. I am fluent in English and French, as well as Russian. Our family moved to the UK in 2008. We settled in Warwickshire, close to major transport links and within easy reach of many famous historic academic institutions.

Before co-founding St James’s Guardians, I worked with various language schools establishing courses in the UK. As well as having previously chaired a Preparatory School Parents Association, I am also an active member of a School Charitable Foundation Trust.

My twin daughters have gone through the Private Preparatory school system and have now started their journey in one of the most renowned public schools in the UK. My younger son continues his own journey with the Private Pre-prep school system.

CLAIRE

Co Founder of St James's Guardians

Having grown up on the Isle of Man, with a background in independent Finance & Banking. I attended an all-girls Boarding School The Buchan, the preparatory school to King Williams’ College, one of the top 5 UK private schools. I became a termly boarder aged 7, whilst my family travelled abroad.
This provides me with a true personal insight into the ups and downs of a boarders life, living with the host families and the needs of a child coping independently.

Following the completion of my higher education studying Law, Business and Finance. Before deciding to Co-found St James’s Guardians, I pursued a career varying from Operational Customer & Account management through to Global IT Service Delivery. However, my passion has always been music. I hold a Licentiateship to the London College of Music and continue to work towards my Fellowship .

I strongly wanted my children to experience the same fortunate academic life I had as a child; in a safe, nurturing environment, surrounded by open grounds with space to explore and grow.

My eldest son has completed his preparatory education at one of the leading UK Private Prep Boarding Schools. He happily began his boarding life at the age of 7 and has now commenced a new chapter of his education at one of the most famous senior schools in the world.
